Just talked to ron...he said he is out for the season. Getting surgery first thing monday. He told me i was the first to know...even before his team. I didnt want to post it but im pissed he cant play and felt like venting. I told him he will have to rip it up in the ACC next year. Ugh

Reminds me of Delone Carter when he first got hurt. Guy who (according to the board) is tearing it up, really tears it up - in a different way. Damn.

Sugar bear will be the best tight end in the ACC next year. Best we have had since chris gedney.

Sad. Was looking forward to him contributing this year. He is a mix match waiting to happen

Wouldn't this be a redshift season - he has 4 more years to play right?

Greyshirt is what they call the injury year out i believe but yea. He hasnt played a single down so he has 4 years.

How about Jermaine Pierce, though this isn't career ending?

Not career ending no. Just will be out for the season

Grayshirting is when you graduate from HS in June, but you delay your enrollment until January because the school is at their 85 scholarship limit.

I see this as not a bad thing. Much greater need for him next year than this year IMHO.

Next year will be alot of fun...scary to think of not having nassib though

This was somewhat expected per my source a few weeks ago. It was really an outside chance he was even going to come back this yr. not a huge deal IMO. We will need him more next yr once stevens is gone. Let him be 100%.

Good luck bud!

Ok, now you can tell who "Sugar Bear" is. I'm guessing Ron Thompson.

It's Ron Thompson and it never hurts to have a redshirt year.
Think of how good he will be next year when he's healthy and has a year in the system. He's going to be smarter, stronger and healthier next year.
Looking forward to seeing him tear up the ACC.

Not a big deal, our TE's have been quality so far this season and we have other players for depth.

The other options are Ron Burgundy or Ron Jeremy.

You can always county on Ron Jeremy to come up with a big performance.

I still love the prospects of him next year and going forward.. If Parris can step up next year as well, we could run 2 TE sets, ala NE. I'm not putting these guys on a pedestal and comparing to Gronk/Hernandez, however, this is the college game and a similar offense could be deadly.
