i think they're probably the best team and would've won a real playoff. their offense was pretty good overall to go along with their defense. my gripe is about a 2 team playoff. i would've been perfectly happy to see LSU Alabama in the final game if other conferences had been allowed in the playoff. we're supposed to judge their greatness by games in 2 LSU games in september (good for them for scheduling LSU and Oregon) and bama over penn state. but i still think if you're going to have a stupid 2 team playoff, there shouldn't be rematches

LSU and Jefferson were pitiful on offense though. Great defense for one team and pitiful offense on another aren't mutually exclusive.

I would really really have liked to see them vs Oregon or Ok St. Lots of heat in the backfield, curious how the good QB's in a high-octane offense would handle it (and the OC too). And see how Bama's O would respond if they needed to score.

The most dominant defense of all-time has to go to Michigan from 1901 to 1905 who allowed 42 points total for the five seasons, and didn't allow a single point in 1901 and 1905.

Yeah, but those #'s are skewed by the 1AA team they played.

Take out the 1AA and all the #'s are better.

You don't get to say that very often, so I thought I wouldn't waste the opportunity.
