First trip there.

Not a bad subway ride from midtown. Area seems okay, passable, not Times Square, more Newark.

Doesn't have the buzz of MSG and pregame Big East. Arena is decent, spacious with good sight lines.

Brooklyn Lager, $14. Ouch.

It'll do for another year, but it's not MSG.

Other thoughts?

Wasn't there for this, but I've been there before. Agree with everything you said... I hope that the rest of the conference doesn't assume MSG is roughly equal to Barclays in making future decisions.

When you really look around a few blocks in any direction, (and especially to the train station below), MSG is in an awful neighborhood.

Pretty much agree. Very, very accessible. Maybe even more so than MSG if you can believe that. Nice arena. Even intimate. Filled in nicely and since its a bit smaller you don't see many empties. Surrounding area is blah although McMahon's pregame was pretty nice and packed with Orange. Agree about the buzz but it was a Noon game. Would be interested to see that place if we played UNC tomorrow at 9. It will do, but as you said, it's not The Garden.
