Does anyone know if this event has sold out? A friend asked about it and I can barely find out any information about it, aside from a Bud Poliquin article from last month. I think it's odd that there appears to be no information at all about it on the Boeheim website. Any clues?

Do not believe it is sold out.

If you love SU hoops and are thinking about going, go for it. You will love it. And the money goes to a great cause.

Ahh there we go, thanks Tomcat! I kept getting a link to it that was through jimboeheim.com and it just kept leading me to an error page. I will already be out there on Friday and Saturday night of that weekend, so maybe I'll plan on sticking around. Have they still not announced who will MC the event??

From the registration page:

"I would like to place an add in the program book (you will contacted with aditional information)"

Really? /slap

The MC is Tim Brando.

This event is well-worth attending. All the coaches and players are there... talking with anyone who wants to talk with them. Entertainment is generally pretty good. The guest emcee and JB have a lot of fun roasting each other. Some cool silent and live auction things. The evening is always a lot of fun. One piece of advice: unless you're gingerale-drinking Tomcat, I recommend you get a room at Turning Stone and stay over night. An inordinate amount of adult beverage is consumed.

Or a Room at the LaQuinta-across the street. Just saying..

Whenever I go to the Turning Stone and spend the night after some drinking, the Microtel down the road is very nice as well. I've also stayed at a motel in Oneida before. Cheap and clean. Bad thing is that you need a DD unless if you get a cab. It's probably a 5-10 minute drive.

I attended last year. Definitely something to do at least once.
I'm a bit surprised that they didn't send out event info to previous attendees.
You'd think they'd like as many attendees as possible.

I attended three years ago, good time. Got a picture with the whole team minus AO as he was recouping. Kris gave me props on my bow tie.

Sat behind Joyce during the silent auction. Just a lurker back then or I would have said hello.

I am sorry you didn't. Would have been great to meet you. But how did you know it was me?

Next time for sure.

Honestly, from the great stories I had read here I just assumed it was you when you sat down, then someone had said your name.
