Basketball Only

Ok, we all know football drives the bus moneywise, but is that true if the conference is made up of smaller schools. If WV, Cinci, Louisville and TCU defect, does it make sense to try to bring in minor football programs or go basketball only. Afterall, it seems the football program would look something like Rutgers, UConn, USF, Temple, Nova, Army, Navy and possibly a program like UCF, Houston or maybe UMass. Would this be worth it?

If I'm Nova, GTown, St. John's, Prov, SHU, Dep, Marq I'm trying to form a bball only league, try to get Butler, maybe an A-10 school like Dayton or Xavier also

Agreed even if they know they will eventually fade away without fball money why not get out in front get organized and have the best bball cobnference other than the BCS conferences.
