I understand it is in your internet DNA to become defensive and dismissive when there is a poster who disagrees with your point of view (which I am not in this thread BTW). Briles is a damn good football coach. Briles is also a damn good recruiter who has identified elite athletes that work well within his system. However, I think it is rather "meatheadish" of you to believe that it is a system, or any system that makes a team good, regardless of the players within that system. It is absolutely the talent within said system that allows any system to flourish. Baylor's numbers have gotten better. However, there are probably 3-4 first round picks starting on that offense as we speak. Bryce Petty is on draft boards as a first to second round pick. Seastrunk was an all world recruit who is a projected first round pick. They also have surefire first round pick in Richardson and potential freak first rounder in Drango on the line. Point is is that they have a very good system that is being run with elite NFL caliber athletes. Not to mention their previous installments that featured 3 wideouts all taken within the first 3 rounds and an all-pro QB. Fot every "non-meathead" HC/OC I can show you a "non-meathead" struggling HC or OC. Leach's offense is currently averaging less than ours at Washington St. Skullet is even worse. Brian Kelly even worse than that. Did these three lose the ability to coach overnight? Maybe they started started lifting weights and taking creatine! Damn meatheads! Meanwhile Coley's offense at Miami is running a relatively pro style set to a whopping almost 8 yards a play, good almost up there with Oregon and Baylor.
