you can worry about red zone offense and mistakes and bad plays. but the team needs to look at the positive, 8 drives over 40 yds means we put multiple plays together a bunch of times. Maryland failed in their last 10 drives to move it 40 yds. they had 68 yds their last 8 drives. thats winning football 9 out of 10 times.

Didn't UMD play their second-teamers in the fourth quarter because they were up 18?

I'm positive that most fans are scared to go to another homegame/trainwreck.

Uhh actually the team needs to look at all the negatives and focus on fixing it. Stop the untimely penalties, focus on execution, and clean up special teams. If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it.

Coach doesnt need to coddle these guys and blow sunshine up their butt. Remember the little train that could?

I'll be there. I've been there since Miami of Ohio, 1980.
My point here is that , usually , home field is considered a distinct advantage. I would enumerate all the factors that make it so , but I'm sure you know them better than me. Watching the first 2 home games this season has been hard for even the most supportive fans with mental error and mistakes creating a level of angst that feeds armchair coaches and know it all critics. This has strangled the enthusiasm of this young season and means that most of the people attending games will be old stalwarts such as yourself and not a new generation of youthful supports .

I thought the offense looked fantastic, outside of a few bad plays. People want to crap on McDonald, but this offense gained almost 600yds. When was the last time that happened? Maryland made a few more plays than SU did, at more opportune times. Gotta get better in the RZ, but who knows, maybe it comes together for ND. The good news is SU's best player -- anywhere on the field -- is Terrel Hunt, and he'll have the football in his hands every play.

Youthful supporters will get more out of becoming old stalwarts than they will out of being armchair coaches and know it all critics.
