Belk, we hardly knew you...

Wouldn’t impact future ACC tie-in, right? I don’t know enough about all that.

I hope they find another sponsor that will pony up big bucks for this bowl. Charlotte is a key market for the ACC. This bowl needs to be prestigious.

I doubt the Gator or Sun is going to step up to pass the Beck payouts. The Pinstripe might though...

The Nascar Bowl. Instead of getting sponsorships for everything, they can sponsor something for once. They could even incorporate some of their own.

"As the winner of the 2019 Nascar Bowl, my team and I would like to thank Goodyear for the tires on the buses that brought us from the hotel to the game, Tide for washing our uniforms, Cheerios for the breakfast that got us fueled for the game, and Mountain Dew for keeping us energized throughout.

8 years and I still have no idea what Belk is. Or makes. Or whatever.
Like so many southern things they pride themselves on being southern. I had never heard of them until I moved south.

They've done it before. ;)

Food Lion Bowl or Bojangles Bowl! I'm clearly still scared from the RSN games...

It's a nice tidy department store that's easy to deal with. Don't think they come further north than Fredericksburg.
Before it was the Belk Bowl, it was the Continental Tire Bowl. We played in it twice as the Tire Bowl, vs. WVU and Pitt (broke Larry Fitzgerald's consecutive game w/a TD reception streak).

The 6 years preceding the Belk Bowl in 2011, it was the Meineke Car Care Bowl. I went to a couple of them for chits and giggles (and a lot of free drink, food, etc.) with a good bud of mine that owns a few Meineke franchises here in the Charlotte area.
