Hopefully they will pick him back up. Rautins could certainly fit in D'Antoni's offense. As long as he can stay healthy.

I believe there is a new rule in the CBA that you can't trade a guy and pick him up up in the same season if he gets waived.

I don't think Andy has much of an NBA future anyway.

I wonder if that is in effect for moves before the season? Seems like a VERY good move for in-season trades. I don't think the previous waiting period under this scenario worked all that well.

I believe it's for all moves. I pulled this from a Larry Coon article on ESPN. (Guy is the best for this type of stuff)

"• 2011 CBA: If a player is traded and subsequently waived by his new team, he cannot re-sign with his original team for one year following the trade or until July 1 after the last season of the player's contract, whichever is earlier."
