Bringing a friend of mine up to the game tomorrow. I usually ride with people who have a parking pass near ESF, but no room is in their vehicle. I also wanted to give him the Syracuse gameday experience (Chucks, Varsity, etc.). I'm guessing the crowd may be just under 30,000, so in your opinions, where would be the best place to park. Marshall St is the obvious answer if there are any spots available but what are some other options?

I always park in a $20 lot on Harrison a block and a half from Marshall St.

There's a couple $20 pay lots on East Adams as well. One street over from Marshall and easy access back to 81. that's where I've always parked.
Get there early though, they fill up and they pack cars in for big games.

I come into the area from the north east via I-690 (I avoid I-81 altogether) along Erie Blvd and head south (toward the University) on University Ave.

If you don't mind a longer hike - there' a small (usually lower cost, YMMV) lot on the right (west) side. 43.046184,-76.134543

Then there's another larger lot, much closer to Marshall further up, also on the right (corner of E Adams St) 43.043112,-76.134751

Closer to the dome still, is the Sheraton garage (further up, turn left on Waverly). 43.040665,-76.13385

edit: Then further down Waverly's a lot at 43.04075,-76.131803

Manley's not really a bad deal, less walking, if you can handle the post-game "crush", but no Marshall St really.

Just be sure you know how to read longitude and latitude from Mike's directions, otherwise you will have no idea where to go! :)

First time I have seen someone reference GPS coordinates on this board. Well done Mike.

Hah. GPS is my business (really it is) so it was natural ;-)

It was easier than trying to post a map with highlights...although, come to think of it, a well done map would probably be worth the trouble!

I usually go early enough to park for free on the side streets of Lancaster/Euclid. It's only a 10-15 minute walk from there.
