Admins can you please replace this with the one tacked?
The seedings did not change tonight but things got pretty interesting heading into the last three days of the season.
USF got a huge win at Louisville and really put themselves in a great position to get an NCAA bid and possibly qualify for a double bye in the BET. Hell they deserve a bid. 12 conference wins regardless of who they beat is impressive.
If Georgetown loses to Marquette and USF beats West Virginia then USF will get the 4 seed. USF could also get into the top 4 if Notre Dame loses to Providence tomorrow and they beat West Virginia.
West Virginia will be playing for a single bye as they hold a one game lead over UCONN so that game is going to be really interesting. This of course assumes Seton Hall beats DePaul. If they dont then all hell breaks loose.
Certainly a lot of drama still left to be decided before all of the teams head to NYC.

Nice work Marsh, much appreciated...was literally browsing other boards to find this

It's volume 14! Where have you been, Marsh has you covered, no need to go elsewhere, even to SWAC boards.

Hopefully Georgetown loses to Marquette and those bums plummet down to the 6 seed because if Cincinnati beat Villanova they would have the 5 seed tiebreaker over them.
Here's how I see it finishing
1.SU
2. Marquette
3. ND
4. USF
5. Cincy
6. Georgetown
7. Louisville
8. SHU
9. UConn
10. West Virginia
11. St. John's
12. Pitt
13. Villanova
14. Rutgers
15. Providence
16. DePaul

This is awesome work I thank you so much. I have been a silent member of this board for years and I always look forward to your BE Tournament projections. I have attended every Big East Tournament except for 2 years. So Thanks for your help. My son and my buddy are going to be there on Wed looking forward to a great tournament

This is a great draw. I'd really love another shot at ND.

No problem

Take that right now. Gtown, UConn, Lville and Marquette all on the other side.

doesn't

doesn't USUCK have the tiebreaker since they beat WVU?

Yes I actually screwed up and forgot that WVU was one game ahead in the standings already. If they win they win they get the 8 or if Uconn loses they get the 8.

I might need to start auditing this...

We've beaten all of those hasbeens this season. Marquette always scares me, but not the other three.

Point is, those teams are a bigger danger to us than the teams on our side.

Thanks again for doing this all season, Marsh. Personlly, I'm happy to see UConn off the 8/9 line. I do not want to see them in our first game at the Garden. I like the WVU, DePaul, Seton Hall winner much better as our first opponent.

Well we will get our wish if WVU beats USF. I agree that I want Uconn on the opposite side of the brackets as well.

Question is would you rather have UConn first round USF/Cincinnati winner in the semis or WVU/Seton Hall then most likely Georgetown or Notre Dame on Friday? The reason is because if USF wins against WVU and Marquette beats Georgetown at home Georgetown plummets down and USF/Cincinnati are the 4-5 game. I personally would prefer the UConn game then get an easier semifinal to win the entire BET.

True however I would not be sad if we played WVU and then ND in the semi's. I think this team wants another shot at ND and would completely run them off the Garden floor if they get that chance. I guess I would rather see an easier Thursday game so we dont have to sweat it out. Either way it will be a tough game because Uconn and or WVU may need that game to secure a bid.

Does anyone know how things would shake out depending on the Marq/Gtown matchup? Looks like a loss by the Hoyas could drop them all the way to 6th (!), while a win would give them a 2 seed. And if Marquette loses, could they drop to 4th and be a potential semifinal matchup for SU? Or have they secured no worse than 3rd?

If Marquette lost and Notre Dame beat Providence on Friday it would be
1. Syracuse
2. Georgetown
3. Notre Dame
4. Marquette.
So if you want to avoid Marquette on Friday then you need either PC to beat ND to guarantee it or Marquette to beat Georgetown.

Or hope USF takes down Marquette on Thurs :)
