Beyond the 3-4, what about safeties?

I annoyed everyone seated around me for the first half asking over and over why our safeties were playing 15 yards off the line when gt threw exactly one time. They never switched and brought them closer. Why not beef up the coverage within 5 yards of the line? I need to quit rationalizing. There's no logic to any of this.

No clue, but this was the week to play man on the outside. I would even trust Anderson in man against GT, so use the safeties to cover the wings.

I don't know, but 2 out of their 3 completions went for touchdowns, so apparently they weren't playing deep either.

We were using 4 guys to cover their two receivers. My mind is being blown over and over and over by this. And then we failed more than 50% of the time.

I think i have an easier time wrapping my head around the vastness of our universe than I do today's gameplan.
