This is a trend that I am starting to see in recruiting that I really like. With Crume and Sloan last year, Brantley and Coleman this year plus the new offer to the Cali Juco (jones). We also are recruiting Manley hard who would be a big DE. And do not forget big wayne williams becomes available again after next year and that guy has some skill.
So in two years these could be the DTs--
Crume, Sloan, Coleman, Brantley, Bromley, W.Williams, Zian Jones and whoever else we bring in next year to play the position. Thats some big dudes.

Agree... Even though they might not make a ton of plays, at least statistically, one of my favorite parts of football is seeing a big dominant DT just own an offensive line.

agreed good size. i think brantley will be a stud. wouldnt be surprised to see him get looks on the goal-line "fridge perry style"

I like the idea, but I have one problem with that. AAM was a major recruit for us with a lot of potential, but with the weight issue and the fact PTG and Smith ran VERY hard in their limited touches, I don't want to slight the kid and make it tougher than it will already be to handle going from star to 3rd string, by giving away the one job he should easily own.

agree with you, i am just saying i wouldnt be surprised to see it in a couple years. by then AAM will be a junior and Smith a senior.

I my opinion I'd rather gain size to give up quickness. At least immovable objects can plug up holes. We are definitely still too small so I also like the trend.

It would not shock me if next year we have 6 DL that at some point play on Sundays in some varying degree, because of the fact I do think our guys coming in have good feet too, in addition to just size.

having atleast one big lug upfront that can demand a double or atleast cave in an o linemen to put pressure on the QB is a must. I hope he get this kid.
