*The longest active, continual membership streak is co-owned by USF and Cincinnati.

*The longest membership in the conference by an active member is Temple.

Those are some weird thoughts, and I feel like that knowledge could have made me a lot of money had I known it at the right time.

Yes, I know the “BIG EAST” was sold to the ... well ... BIG EAST, but the AAC is the same legal entity that once housed the SU Athletic department, along with several of very formidable teams, programs, and athletic departments of other big-time schools.

I know, right?!

I’ve always felt that the BIG EAST tale is one of the best stories in sports. An incredible amount of craziness happened in a very short amount of time. I’m glad to have lived it.

And that's including being kicked out in 2004, and then joining again in 2012 - only 7 years ago.
