What is the best means of transportation to the Garden for the tournament? Should I take Amtrak from Syr to Penn Station? Should I drive closer and take the MTA in? I am worried that after the night game I will not be able to catch the train. Looking for advice, thanks.

Amtrak is easy, no worrying about parking at MTA stations or staying alert for a drive.

I agree. Only downside is that the early train arrives at Penn Station about 1 PM these days, so you will miss the first half of the first game (if you arrive one of the first two days). You can check your bags right in Penn Station (for a nominal fee) and be in your seat about 15 minutes after the train arrives.

Just took Amtrack from Syracuse to Penn station over the holidays. Early morning but a nice trip and we arrived just before 1pm. Would definitely recommend.
