Big Ten Tournament headed to MSG in 2018

Uh oh, ACC.

They'll be playing it the week before the Big East Tourney and will be done a week before selection Sunday.

Big East will be out of that slot soon enough. This sets the stage for MSG to host the B10 and ACC Tourneys in the same year, hopefully.

A little weird. That means they'll go 10 days without games before the first round of the NCAA tournament?

Wow, they must have been desperate. How Atlantic 10 of them...

Not a big deal the ACC could get the same arrangement if they wanted it. I bet Duke v. UNC regular season ending game will get higher ratings than the B1G title game.

The Big Ten ending its season early is what will make this happen and not the Big East moving its games.

there playing the tourney at msg a week before bigeast's

That's good. Between the 2 tournaments they will generate almost as much excitement as the old Big East did.

Another example of those P5 bullies stealing from the mid majors. Now nobody will watch the mid major tourneys that week. I think the MEAC and SWAC should start a nationwide protest against the B1G.

Kind of like the CFL adding Hartford and Baltimore and moving the Grey Cup to New York to pick up the East Coast market.

Problem is that the East Coast doesn't care about the CFL championship, and until Penn State, Maryland and Rutgers put together real and consistent basketball programs they don't really care about the Big Ten.

No surprise, you have to have it locally, so all the hordes of Rutgers fans can make their way to Msg.

that means a 2 week long road trip for the Knicks in the spring of 2018

Wonder if Rutgers fans will attend their 1st round game as well as they did the BET? Hahaha. Of course they're eliminated before the 2nd round.

The Rutgers Hoops Fan will be real happy about this.

Not necessarily. They could still play JV teams during the following week. SU MLAX does this, for example.
