Is it true we’ve never come back from a 21 point deficit… ever? Or did ESPN get that wrong. I feel like we’ve had some big comebacks… e.g. with Nassib at USF for example.

We came back down 17 to a Rose Bowl bound Cornell team in 1938 (Wilmeth Sadat-Singh game).

Ryan Nassib led us to a 20 point comeback victory over USF in Tampa in 2012.

And we came back from down 18 to VT in 1998 and again this year.

Also came back down 20 to UCF in 2002.

it does appear this is the new record.

It should have been 24 points against Oklahoma in 1994 but refs sucked back then as well.

I hope our chants of “refs you suck “ made it on air yesterday
That was the first time an “excessive celebration“ penalty was ever called, I believe. It cost SU the game. It would have been one of the most memorable games ever.
