since the committee cant really decide consistently how they pick one team over another they should sit down in a room with a bunch of math geeks and figure out what criteria that want to use and just decide it then. work backwards from the data over the last 5 years or so and come up with a formula that people can know up front and get rid of the mystery.. then they can spend the time seeding and people can schedule accordingly.

Committee picks next 25 teams manually.
Last 12 are chosen by a computer formula

the game is changing why not have 8 play in games instead of two? There will still be whining, but think of it as a sudden death extra shot to be in. Besides who wants to watch crap play in midmajor one vs crap playin midmajor 2, the world would much rather watch syracuse vs wisconsin, or gtown no matter how hideous they are. If someone gets shunned from losing out on the 16 bubble play in spots there should be a universal no whine rule.

There is no likely in my plans and my vocal outbursts, which will come either way, will only put the fear in my kids. Oh well, it's not like they haven't heard it before.
