This is a bit niche but there's a podcast Comedy Bang Bang where comedians play characters and are interviewed as if they're real. One person within the last year has been doing Bill Walton and it's on point and hilarious.

Bill Walton is my "exception to the rule" for color guys. Maybe because the west coast games are on later, and we both enjoy recreational pharmaceuticals, but he cracks me up.

My favorite bit from this year... after a player didn't see a pass and got hit in the face with the ball, Pasch asks him, "You ever get hit in the face with the ball?" Walton pauses and says, "I played DEFENSE with my FACE!"

Maybe you had to be there.

Back when I was a youngin' prior to the 1973 title game, I told my dad that Walton was overrated and that Larry Kenon of Memphis State would eat him up. About ten minutes into the game I was asked if I still thought Walton was overrated. 21/22 for 44 points. He annihilated Kenon.

I was at that game in St. Louis. Mostly that turn around flip the hands shot. Loved his game, not showy, consummate team player. Who knew he’d become the goofiest tv announcer ever. If he’s doing a game I don’t care who is playing... must see tv.
