Billy Connors, Former Cuse Hoops and Baseball player and 1954 Little League Champion from Schenectady passes away

Hometown kid did very well for himself. Long time Yankees, Cubs and other teams pitching coach. Had long MLB post playing career. Led Syracuse to the College World Series in Omaha. Appeared in Williamsport twice with his Schenectady team, winning the second year they got there.

According to this, his lost his Syracuse scholarship due to an unauthorized basketball tournament. Surprised they didn't put Cuse on probation.

Definitely the dark ages. But crazy thing is, even though he is by far our worst coach record-wise, he still was over 500 overall as a coach. That's how good our program's history is!
