A very faithful Orangeman who has dedicated his life to Syracuse basketball. Came here as a West Coast kid, played 4 years, coached for 22. Something hasn't added up for a while, so while I am saddened, I cannot say that I am shocked. The tea leaves were shaking that either Boeheim is staying longer or Hop wasn't as interested in succeeding his mentor and friend. He is getting a 6 year deal, likely to be juicy $$$, too. He has the chance to build his own legacy and be a little bit closer to his family back home.
We will miss his vibrant persona and never-ending energy, but thank him for being such a huge part of SU basketball's history.
