I've been looking at our board, and the LSU board.

Let me preface this saying that LSU fans have been great, and obviously they have high expectations for their team, and rightfully so.

But with that said...

If you were just looking at the general tone of our board, versus the general tone of their's, you would NEVER guess that they were the team that won. It's really interesting to just sit back and observe. We're all pretty positive right now, and they are all freaking out.

What a weird sport.

The tone of their fans there versus the fans here and those I met is totally different ... Not very respectful on their board by quite a few

They were sloppy and if we were #8 in the country we'd probably be trippin to. Look at our hoop board. I don't watch LSU so were their penalties the norm today? Idk.

What's funny to me though is we made a shite ton of mistakes today to. our qb was 16-38 and half of those misses were easy passes that he threw into the ground. We would have beat them without all of our own mistakes.

A lot of ref blaming. Outside the late hit on Mahoney at the end which was a bad call I can't think of any others that were bad.

I think a few of those gopher passes were Mahoney being very very cautious. Part of the game plan probably was to limit turnovers. He did his part.

I noticed this too, their board seemed very unappreciative to the effort our boys put out today. I know lsu had a lot of penalties but cuse kept it a lot closer than anyone thought it would be.

I don't think so.

I said "a few".

Just my humble opinion. I've been wrong before.
Mahoney was gutsy, but passed poorly and said so in his presser. He can run the option, which of course is why he was in there. He lost control of his mechanics under game pressure. That can improve, but I doubt we see him again this year.

The LSU fans I talked to, after the game were impressed with the way SU played, and enjoyed the game. They also enjoyed the hospitality shown by SU fans.

I think we can understand though. When you think about hoops (especially two years ago), this board was dissecting a lot of things while the team was undefeated. They played a very sloppy game today and I can understand how their fans would be concerned- especially the way they kept getting crucial penalties. Fournette won't be able to bail them out each week.

As mentioned, Syracuse had lots of chances to grab a lead before the half. LSU certainly will need to be cleaner games if they want to win the SEC and make the CFP.
