not sure if anyone here caught the documentary BLACKFISH last month on CNN.( i watched it about 4x)
it's basically a film about the possible side effects of captivity on killer whales and focuses on several trainer killings by these large aquatic mammals. apparently SEAWORLD is now feeling the financial pinch as several acts have since cancelled scheduled live appearances and attendance numbers have dropped.

There was a huge aquatic theme park in South Africa that closed down a few years back, and they released their animals back to the wild. I watched a Discovery Channel documentary about how a group of marine biologists and scientists used the opportunity to track a shark they released to see how it both adapted to the ocean community, but also to track the shark population's mating migration activity.

SeaWorld manages to put themselves back in the headlines again. claims OSHA report was biased.
