Here's the screenshot from literally one second later.  The Fla St defender that was back on the play (the big white guy) stayed with Quincy.  He did not guard two players, he guarded Quincy, who cut to the basket.  He ignored Goodine, who simply stood in the corner.  The trailing defender did make a move to the corner to guard Brycen, but Hughes had already begun his 1-on-1 drive to the basket by that point.

This was a nice individual play by Hughes - no more, no less - it started with the back cut to get free, Marek made a great pass, and then Hughes finished the fast break opportunity.  People see what they want to see with Buddy - and some people see what they want to see with Brycen.

I'm on record as saying that I am all for Brycen getting more minutes - especially in a game like yesterday, where Buddy had his worst game of the season.  But I think you have to be fair... Brycen really didn't do anything out there.  He didn't hurt us, but it's not like he was flying around making plays, either.
