Bob broke Dolph Schayes' career scoring and rebounding marks in the NBA, just before they both got swallowed up by wilt Chamberlain. Like so many players of that era he had his greatest statistical year the year Wilt had his greatest year: 1961-62:

Click on "PTS" and the first five listed players all had their greatest years that year, (it was the year Oscar averaged a triple-double.)
With 150 stitches in his face for his career, our Tyler Roberson has a ways to go to match Bob Pettit, who had 17 in one game but returned to play the second half. But his greatest performance came in the 1958 finals against the Celtics when he scored 50 points and grabbed 25 rebounds, every one of which was needed to beat the Celts in the final game, 110-109. it was the only time in Bill Russell's first ten years that the Celtics didn't win the title.
