They must have hoped they could get the ball back. Or maybe they didn’t realize they were playing Toledo. Baylor out-gained Toledo 693-611. They rushed for 304 and passed for 389 and had 34 first downs. The Rockets rushed for 238 and passed for 373 with 23 first downs. Seth Russell was 20 for 33 for 380 yards and 5 touchdowns but his Rocket counterpart, Philip Ely was 18 for 27 for 327 yards and 4 scores. The amazing Russell also carried 14 times for 160 yards and a score. (Maybe having Eric Dungey carry the ball for us isn’t such a bad thing if Baylor is doing the same thing.) Terry Swanson led Toledo with 97 yards on only four carries for one score. Corey Coleman had a fabulous day for Baylor with 10 catches for 199 yards and 3 scores. Another Corey, Jone, led Toledo with 7 catches for 90 yards and a score although Cody Thompson, with only 2 catches, had more yards with 110, due to that 88 yarder. We missed a great game! [/QUOTE]
