I mean, he gets some credit for always having his teams play disciplined and smart. He's clearly a good coach.

That said, I just really can't stand him—especially during games. Never could stand him. His sideline antics and histrionics are absolutely absurd. Constantly. Coaches like him and Buzz and Martin, with their sideline BS, really do a disservice to the game.

And now that I hear he was whining about ref calls after that great game... well, I guess I was right all along.

As such, it feels extra good to have won that game.

Somehow, he reminded me of Marc Lawrence

His face annoyed me. He was always wide-eyed and open mouthed. Don't know why, it was just irritating.

His guys got burned constantly in high picks and isos yet he says that they played as good as it gets defense?? Like Greg Anthony said, this game was won inside the 3pt line.

I actually really like all 3 coaches, especially Buzz. Love their intensity.

All coaches behave poorly from time to time. Saw Cronin last night fire his blazer off behind him blinding an assistant coach (not literally).

I don't care what he said after the game - not calling the time out was an enormous mistake - simple as that.

I don't think he's a very good coach at all. At least from what I saw last might. To somehow mismanage the game where your most effective offensive player is not on the floor during that final possession is absurd.

Plus, I didn't see any semblance of help defense from his players. The game was a layup line for us and they made no defensive adjustments.

If his players don't get white hot from three, that's a 15-20 pt game. His style of play dumbs down the game.

"We thought a couple of things didn't go our way that you have to overcome"

At least he was more subtle than the UNCA coach.

I thought he made a brilliant move just before the half and had his guards jump out and pressure the SU guards instead of letting them wind the clock down. He's a good coach and this Wisconsin team broke our zone* from the outside better than anyone I can remember and that was coaching and execution.

*Since Boeheim has been playing this more aggressive 2-3.

I thought he was nuts to take out the goof for so long because of 2 fouls

I'm glad boeheim is smart enough to not worry as much about fouling out as other coaches.

College basketball coaches remind me of my parents who won't let anyone turn on the lights up high (cathedral ceiling, is that what it's called?) because if we turn them on, eventually, they'll need new bulbs and it's a pain to change them. so they never turn them on

I feel the same way, and about Izzo too.

He's always got that smug, Jamie Dixon 'we're better than you" face that you want to smack right off. That being said, always like him & his teams and they really buy in. Used to like Buzz but he's REALLY starting to annoy me. He's got to be the center of attention at every possible moment. Like the brown-noser that has to show the coach how hard he is working. Very JT2-esque attention-staved.

Posted this last night.

He is one wierd looking dude. Reminds me of an undertaker for some reason.

He's a good coach but a little overrated. In 11 years at Wisconsin they've only made it past the Sweet 16 one time.

I have no respect for college coaches that hold the ball like high school - part of coaching is being to get talent - of course he's never going to have real talent running that style - and then we have to hear how great he does with the players he has - he could have our guards and he'd still be passing around the top of the key for 30 seconds
