Calhoun now with 865, JB now with 869, Rupp with 876, Dean Smith with 879, Bobby Knight with 902 and Coach K with 912.

I would love to see JB catch Coach K, but something big would have to happen.

This is where I got my data from. Their math could be wrong. I had checked four different sites and each one had different numbers for he and JC.

Anyone else thing that there is a peeing contest between JB and JC? Neither one is going to retire while the other is still coaching/alive just so they can talk crap when they play golf. It probably all started when they were on the links and JC was bragging about being up a few strokes. JB replies with something about having a hotter wife. JC one ups him with saying something about how he is going to have more wins and then it was on. Although I see it finally play out with JC loosing more wins to additional NCAA sanctions one day. Gonna look someting like this with JC responding to the NCAA:

Exactly. Need to win the NCAAs this year or next at the latest. Also would be nice to have multiple (3 or more) Final 4s in a decade. This once every 7-12 years crap is getting old.

only prob ,is Calhooligan is 2 titles ahead of Jimmy. I will take Jimmy's way of winning though over the cheating crooked way Calhooligan does.At least our 1 title isn't tainted.

The post season is a craps shoot. The best teams last year were Ohio State, Duke and Kansas an they all watched the Final Four on TV while the 9th place team in the Big East won the title.

If Triche and Coleman had just made their free throws in '87 it would be 2-3. Both coaches have made the title game three times. Calhoun has won all three. JB's teams were all very comeptitive but won just the one. All the difference, I know but maybe not so much in coaching ability.

I think it's absurd to credit wins and losses during a coaches' tenure to an asssitant who takes over for a few games. If you are the head coach, you are the head coach. Those players are there because of you and the strategies and techniques they are using are yours.
