Today, the Post Standard had a poll of how many wins JB has if he wins saturday: 899 or 1000. The results were that 95% believe 1000. Here was my response:
"Ok, here's the deal. The University is forbidden from celebrating 1000 wins, by virtue, or otherwise, of its settlement with the NCAA for findings of violations. They could be subject to more penalties if they celebrate 1000. However, there is no violation if the University celebrates 899 (as if it were 1000), without mentioning it. Of course everyone knows what is really happening. This is the obvious way around an egregious judgment by a corrupt governing body."
I think we should present him with a plaque, under glass, that congratulates him for 899*
