Not only do we get in, but we don't even play in Dayton. We have favorable matchups and play close to home. We'll be the talk of the day with people saying "how did this happen?" in the national media.

And then we go on a tear and shut everyone up. We got this. Not even worried.

Theres always a team that gets in that most people didnt have in. And always a team seeded much higher or lower than most people had.

I honestly think a 10 seed, a play in game, and the nit are all in play. But a 10 seed would mean the committee ignored the hop games.

My bold prediction on the negative side is that right now we are the last team in and UConn pisses all over our cheerios and tanks their game which allows Memphis to steal our bid.

Glad your prediction was wrong and you now can eat your cheerios with milk :)

I know people are going to think I'm nuts but I've felt for some time that we've had way too many quality wins to be left out. So glad we're not in the play-in.

Every year it seems the prognosticators are way off on some teams, and we're the type of team that are just too hard to predict.

the problem is, too many people were grading us against a gestalt curve which, in most years, would certainly have us out.

However, as the week went on, and I looked at who exactly was on the bubble, I felt like..dang, we arent very good, but man these other guys are worse.

Agreed. I was pretty well convinced after conference tournament play on Saturday that we were out. Then, watching coverage on Sunday before the final CC games, I started to realize that our resume stacked up better against the competition than I'd originally thought. I also thought that we needed ATM to win to "boost" our resume, shows what I know.

Just glad we made it in. Sucks to admit that, but it is what it is. We're in, and now anything can happen. Time to go on a run.

Same here. Thought we were toast Wednesday, but as the week progressed I felt more confident. UCONN and A&M tourney runs surely helped.

Props to you and CorduroyG for making even bolder statements in print than myself. Great call, guys! I think you deserve some recognition, being it generally gets had for less ideal reasons on here. ;) GO CUSE!!!
