Going from Head Coach to Assistant..doesn't seem right. I know it is Florida and I guess he could possibly make more money in Florida even as an Asst. but it still does not seem right to me.

Me too. The best player in SU softball history is pitcher Jenna Ciara. She is still pitching on the Canadian national team. Was the pitching coach at SU in 2013 and 2014. I wonder if she would be a candidate?
I think at this level SU needs to find a person who has a positive track coaching experience, not just a former player. Ciara was amazing as a pitcher but imo that often does not translate into being a good coach.
