I liked Marrone early on and defended Hackett when he had EJ but with 2 QB's the offense has look continuously awful with the same issues game in/game out.  Red Zone, it's been an issue all season.  We can move the ball all game but can't score TD's.  That needs to change and for that reason I would like Hackett to be shown the door and a real OC brought in.
 
The offensive line seems to be getting better and they are very young so I see some potential there.  I like the backfield of Brown/Dixon/FJax so I don't care what happens with Spiller.  I like Watkins-Woods-Hogan-Goodwin and they are young and will only get better.  The QB situation is what it is Orton/EJ is extremely mediocre but I think they can lead a playoff team given better scheme and playcalling.  I dont know if there is a move to be made at QB for next year given our situation.
 
We NEED to use our second round pick or make a splash in FA on a big playmaking Tight End.  We need someone to be a big target in the Red Zone besides Chandler.  That, and better red zone playcalling/scheme could be the difference between sitting at 5-5 on the outside looking in or 7-3 in command of a playoff spot.
 
Next year:
-Resign everyone on defense
-Bring in a big playmaking TE
-Fire Hackett and bring in a real OC
-If there is a move to be made, make it in regards to QB.  If not, give Orton/EJ a shot with a real TE and better OC.
 
Those moves, I believe make us a playoff contender.  However its a crapshoot, we're a playoff caliber team this year and are sitting at 5-5 in an extremely strong AFC.
