Good post agree with pretty much everything you said.  Right now I think Marrone is 50/50 on whether the Pegula's bring him back.  A good finish or at least a strong performance will probably give him another year but I dont see anyway that Hackett survives.  Really hope we spend the $ necessary to bring back most of the D they really good right now and really just need an infusion of a CB and or Safety to take it to an elite level. 
 
The lack of a 1st round pick next year is WAY overblown. Buffalo has had a first round pick nearly every year of the 15+ year playoff drought so how much can not having one really hurt?  I believe we will have an extra 3rd or 4th round pick from the Stevie Johnson trade so we should have the ability to get a few high end guys despite the lack of a 1st round pick.  Going to be critical Buffalo gets a TE, CB/Safety, and depending on CJ and Fred a young RB wouldnt hurt either.  Obviously a QB would be great but not sure theres goign to be much left by the second round and at that point your almost always better off filling a need elsewhere.
