The whole Freedom Trail / Fanuiel Hall area is awesome. Great restaurants (although not necessarily "New York" restaurants), the MFA is right up there as a world class fine art museum. There is great shopping in the Back Bay, live music and comedy. December can be cold in Boston. That wind always seemed to make it colder than NYC. But there is great history in Boston and really great seafood (if you avoid the touristy places) to go with the Italian food in the North End. [/QUOTE]
