The NCAA allows each bowl to award up to $550 worth of gifts to 125 participants per school. Schools can, and usually do, buy additional packages that they can distribute to participants beyond that 125 limit. In addition, participants can receive awards worth up to $400 from the school and up to $400 from the conference for postseason play, covering both conference title games and any bowl game.

That Galaxy Tab is a nice piece. Curious what the watch looks like as well as what the guys got from the pinstripe last year.

Is the Texas Bowl the only bowl that does not have an official sponsor? I've only seen it advertised as "The Texas Bowl" but not the 'Trojan Magnum Texas Bowl" or some such.

In 2011 they gave away a Sony video camera, Armitron watch, Balfour ring, New Era duffle bag, New Era caps, a winter hat, hoodie, sweatpants, thermal, polo and crew shirt.

They didn't release what they were giving away last year (Gotta love the Steinbrenners.)

The ND players are claiming they are getting PS4s. Even though the bowl won't formally announce the gifts.

I believe the NFL network owns the TV and naming rights.

Some pretty sweets swag for the players there...

I get the Texas Bowl belt buckle- the game's logo is a belt buckle.

But a lapel pin? Did they have like $5 per player left in the budget and decided to give out one more item?

I'm a fan of lapel pins... And only 32.

I wonder how far out they had to pre-order 125 Ps4's. they have been out of stock for several months.

I think it was originally called "The Don't Mess with Texas Bowl" but it seemed redundant and they shortened it.

It used to be the Meineke Car Care Bowl but had no sponsor this year. Not sure if it's the only one though
