Given the amount of open looks he is going to get with whats around him Joe might average 15, 5, and 4 this season.

Cole was awesome on the boards all game and solid offensively once he settled in. Jimmy is a great glue guy.

Irrational optimism and excitement is creeping in

That’s what’s going to be great about having Buddy, Cole and Joe around the perimeter. They all “protect” each other from having teams focus on one guy with their defense.

Jesse, 2 rebounds better than a dead man.
just one game - but frank looked like the better player.

a lot quicker feet.

(which is Huge considering he didnt even play last year)

Vs teams with a good big man - jesse will be the better option...just bc of the size factor.

but overall the team's defensive rotations were SLOW and jesse was probably the slowest.

Lafayette couldnt really exploit it - but other teams will.

to get better, jesse's gotta be quicker overall out there.

Soooooo, SU is gonna go off from the next zip code as other teams did against us while we were short handed. I can live with that. And a big man with muscle mass, to boot.

Terrific debuts from Jimmy and Cole.

Really, couldn't have scripted a better opening act than what Jimmy produced early on.

This game really showed what an important piece Jimmy is to this team. He's going to have tons of space down low to work with, and he's got lots of post moves and can score with both hands. He's tough to guard and when he is scoring inside SU as a whole is tough to guard.

Hmm -- I don't know about any of those conclusions.

Very little in your post I agree with.

I have no words.

well - listen to the quotes from JB and Jimmy - they both metnioned defensive rotations as a key area to improve on after tonights game - and that was my thought while watching.

Jesse was a bit slow-footed out there imo - something to work on.

Was surprised to see Edwards only played 17, and Ajak 7. Who played under the hoop on D the other 16 minutes? I didn't notice.

An interesting take away from this game is that Ajak didn't play any center at all.

Edwards is our first choice center, Anselem is our second, and Jimmy is our third.

There was a time when our front court was Jimmy, Ajak, and Williams and Jimmy played center with Ajak at the wing.

Thanks guys. Now that you mention it, I do remember Ajak playing the wing, I just never noticed who was at the 5, I guess I just assumed it was Edwards. I also fell asleep twice so ... lol.
