How on earth did we manage to get the kid who was named the Texas 5A (biggest classification) Football Defensive Player of the Year to come play lax? And can we get him on the football field, too? You don't win 5A DPOTY unless you're really, really good.

Edit: and now I see he had football offers from UT, OU, TCU and ND? Is it safe to say the most highly sought after football prospect on our campus doesn't even play football?

Got him last year, lost Worstell for next year for a similar reason. Glad to have Brandon

Last year I was posting the same thing. I did some research and found some articles where he basically said "Lacrosse if fun". While he loved football, it felt more like a job than a sport, which doesn't surprise me being in Texas.

Hard to play those 2 sports at once.

You miss Spring FB practice, and you miss Fall LAX ball.

He'd also have to be on a FB scholarship.
