Actually, this is an amazing insight into Cal's world. He got the gig to coach the Dominican team to get access to Towns. Clearly, Towns has been in the bag for months and Cal tells him to hold his announcement. He knew he had a trump card just waiting if he needed it. So what coincidentally happens the very day after the first negative PR Cal has gotten since arriving at UK? He gets a magical, surprise commit from the #1 player! Yay!

I will say this, with the way he his recruiting, all other teams have to take advantage when he has years like this because at this rate he will have more of last years result then what he is currently experiencing...hope this is our year.

This is exactly why Chris McCullough has no chance to be the #1 player in next year's class. He has already spurned Kentucky. He'll be lucky if there is a slot in the McD's game available now that they don't need to showcase him as a potential KY commit.
