They aren't a TV draw, we don't recruit the area, and being in the ACC it makes zero sense to have K-State on the schedule unless they are the one and only "big" OOC of the season. Which odds are they wouldn't be because nobody  in CNY cares about K-State.

The mindset around scheduling must change with the fans and thankfully it already has with Coyle from things he has said publicly and with the couple times I have talked to him at events. You want one big OOC game a year, fine. But that's it, then its cupcake city. Syracuse is in no position to over-schedule. Scheduling K-State if you have a ND or someone else on the schedule in a given year is a huge mistake.

With Clemson and FSU every year. Throw in Louisvile and then throw in schools like Miami and VT occasionally you can't schedule OOC games with schools that will always have more talent than us.  You have to give this program a chance to win 6 games a year, especially over the next 10 years or so as we build this program back up. Cupcakes on the schedule so you can get to bowl games is the goal in the near future.  You can't schedule K-State, zero value for a program like SU. And it isn't a rivalry.
