Veteran broadcast producer Scott Hecht will lead the new Syracuse University Athletics Production department, which will oversee the launch of and day-to-day operation of the ACC Network on campus. An industry insider, Hecht brings more than 20 years of experience in the broadcast production field to the University's new venture as the department's senior producer. Broadcast engineer Tom White will oversee the technical operations for all remote productions, including equipment and transmission.
There is no better broadcast journalism school in the nation than the Newhouse School.
Mr. Wildhack was brought to SU for the development of athletics and his very excellent television experience I’m sure was in discussion during his hiring. He assuredly has connections in many areas especially television and specifically sports television. Undoubtedly he was on the wire to Mr. Hecht and Mr. White.
With these two experts operating at Newhouse SU, IMO, will be first in ACC broadcast excellence.
SU and THE NEW FAST just keep getting better and better.
Wow, impressive hire. Great sign for the future of the ACC Network.
In that article, it mentions that SEC schools spent on average around $2 million per school to prepare for the new network. ACC schools are spending about 3 times that much.
