I'm not sure what the final answer will be. I am not going to debate that we are strongly above others on this list, but we are very competitive with the entire group I have below. One extra win would have made a big difference -- that is how close the cluster of teams is this year. Ultimately when you put yourself right in the middle of the bubble, you deserve your fate.

But I will say we are clearly in the mix - maybe a little less than 50%. That was the purpose of these threads this week. Not to get people angry at the end. But I saw reason for hope at the end of the week even if we lost. I saw that hope even after we lost to Florida St. And I will say Friday was pretty damn fun.

Today's Bracket Matrix (not yet updated - so guessed for now)

IN PER THE MATRIX (Not locks in my view)
Oregon St
Wichita St
St. Bonaventure
St Mary's
South Carolina
Michigan
Vanderbilt

Out per the Matrix (but in discussion)
Monmouth
Syracuse
Temple
San Diego St
Florida
Valparaiso

Even if we are #3 out, it's not a traditional #3 out. The final teams are so close this year, that being 3 teams out is not the killer that it usually is. Could a committee conceivably picks us above 3 teams of the 9 above us... sure.

Let's get this started jn.

I believe we could/should surpass St.Mary's and Vandy in your IN catergory. 50/50 on whether or not we should be ahead of Michigan, South Carolina and SBU. I've just come resigned to the fact that Oregon State and Wichita State are most likely locks.

One more hurdle to dodge. I cant believe i have ti root for uconn today

1 Key Game today

Obviously UConn needs to win this or a bid is stolen.

First off, a big LOL at the AAC creating importance for itself by having the latest game today at 3:15. They better hope the game does not go double overtime or any delays are encountered.

ALR is probably not a big stealer, nor a great chance at it, but just to remove any doubt it would be nice if they win.

i am working on a final look at bubble as we speak with 5 spots for 9 teams

Michigan
Syracuse
----------
St Bonaventure
Monmouth
Temple
--------
Saint Marys
Vandy
South Carolina
Valpo

bottom 7 teams are still under evaluation
*update this is my final evaluation of the bubble. if you want me to discuss why i said team in vs out just ask.

update michigan and syracuse are the first 2 bubble teams in as 3 top 25 wins is a separator in my eyes vs other bubble teams

Im convincing myself we're out. I just cant go "all in" then have the inevitable gut punch when oregon st gets in over us.

Me too. I want to be positive , but I'm afraid I'll be in for a worse let down. I know lunardi is one of MANY but his certainty about the cuse being out is quite unsettling.

i think oregon state is in before us with no bad losses on there resume

I just can't believe how close it is, and how many teams are in contention this year. Really hoping they look at the quality of our wins. 5 against the top 50, 3 of those not at home. 8 against the top 100. I think the single biggest obstacle is not any loss or number, but our 1-5 finish. Hopefully they look more at total body of work.

I predict not one person on the matrix selects the at larges correctly.

the anxiety level in my gut is "panicked" right now.

I am only a 2 on this scale. I don't give a about 5 out of 6...the season was 32 games...we did enough. Take the fact that the committee is in NYC this year (good vibes...we are New Yorks Team) and I just believe we are a go. I can't wait for the announcement tonight!
