I don’t understand Buddy’s quarantine requirement if he hasn’t tested positive. Seems to me the standards for NY are too strict and haven’t been updated based on the latest CDC guidelines. He shouldn’t be stuck in quarantine for 14 days if he’s had multiple negative tests. Extremely low likelihood the virus manifests itself 14 days after last contact with the known positive case. I believe if it doesn’t appear within the first 6 days there’s little chance the contacted individual has the virus.

He should be allowed to play at Rutgers if he’s had multiple negative tests.

Lol. This is quite a turn from the general thinking on this board about the rona over the last 8 or 9 months.

JB was right. The lack of a federal standard is a problem. It's dumb to allow one state to make up a different set of restrictions beyond federal experts. SU has done everything as has Buddy. Let the kid get back to work and play.

Lack of federal standards goes back to the 10th amendment which defers health and safety to the state level

Outside of that, negative tests should mean you play, this is ridiculous
There’s definitely CDC (federal) guidelines. NY’s standards exceed those guidelines.

Look at how the PGA tour has handled this when it comes to false positives and close contact/negative tests. They let the impacted individual back after a shorter period of time with negative tests. It’s a good model to follow for sports.
