Bud's deal with the Devil

Bud Poliquin just asked: You the Devil offerred this deal, you you take it? Would you sign up for a guarantee to go 38-2 and losing in the title game or take your chances that you might win the national title or lose before you get to the championship game?

Jim Lersh, not really paying attention, intially said he would. I called up and suggested they put a poll on their facebook page on that and said I'd take a chance to win the national championship even if we were more likely to lose before the title game. Jim, thinking about it, agreed with me and said they would put the poll on their facebook page. Bud thinks 38-2 and a looss in the title game would be a heck of a season and he'd sign on for that right now.

So I decided to set it up as a poll here.

Why on earth would anyone agree to a deal in which we have no chance of winning the title? Signing up to come in second is such a loser move.

I'd rather have a chance at the tittle! I think FF is a very successful season and in the end that would be very satisfying for me as a fan but this team has a legit chance to win it all especially if we work harder on rebounding and start making shots consistantly.

That said, I'll gladly forgo a shot at the MNC in January 2013 in exchange for a guaranteed 10-2 record next fall.

Preferably in the ACC.
