The 2024 season certainly didn’t go as Kincaid or the Bills had hoped, with a lot of that stemming from injuries that not only impacted Kincaid’s availability but also how much the team felt comfortable playing him after his return from the injury. In the first nine games — before Kincaid’s injury in Week 10 — Kincaid took 66 percent of the offensive snaps when both he and Dawson Knox were available, while Knox had nearly 56 percent of snaps over that timeframe. Upon Kincaid’s return in Week 15, he took only 37 percent of offensive snaps, clearly showing the injury had altered his impact on the season. Before the injury, Kincaid was on a full-season pace to be 10th in the NFL in receptions for tight ends, and 13th in receiving yards. Considering Kincaid’s role could grow even more than his early 2024 usage, that is the ‘why’ behind him being someone who could take a big step forward in 2025.
