I think Oats talking after the win two years ago is still fresh in JB’s mind. A lot of teams trash talk and what not before, during and after games. This wasn’t a Georgetown vs the People’s Republic of China exhibition incident.

I think you're on to something here. I don't think that JB likes Oats, and this game was the straw that broke the camel's back.

That said, I don't think it's a good look for us to kill the series due to purportedly excessive trash talk.

A win is the best response the Orange could’ve given. I just think this all seems silly, but I’m sure im missing context. Can’t imagine things were said and boundaries were crossed that the big east didnt dance around nightly

Boeheim has heard trash talking since the dawn of time. Happens in every single game he’s ever been a part of. They must have really crossed a line for him to come out and say this.
