making more and more plays, tougher catches, and he is the one that can make guys miss if he gets in the open field. Great for next yr.

I wonder why when we go 4-5 wides we end up with Riley and dont go to with Custis to get 2 bigs in the game and seem to always end up with Strickland as the 5th and not Neal?

He does some good things but he keeps causing interceptions when he gets cut off from his assigned route...

I think we become much more explosive next yr at WR, perhaps lose some inconsistncy, but create more big plays with a group with more speed and size on the field.. lets hope anyway.

Butler is next in line. I think there is a lot to be said about going into the season knowing you're going to be "the man". Next year that is Butler. Honestly, I think the only thing he is missing right now is confidence. He has all the tools to be great. Hell, he is probably an even better fit for this offense then his predecessor's AET and Ish. He has the size, and definitely has the speed advantage. He could use some bulking up and doesn't seem to be the physical receiver Ish is, but I don't think that's what Babers would prefer in this offense. He wants burners that can stretch the field. He has an enormous ceiling.

Has anyone heard news on our redshirted freshman WR?

Custis isn’t a consistent catcher. He drops a lot of balls he should have but out of no where he makes a crazy one handed catch. I think his biggest issue is focus.

I'm very excited to see what RTB and Cameron Jordan can do as well.

I've noticed these 2 on the sideline during home games and they certainly pass the look test. Especially Jordan.

But shouldn't we be overthrowing custis and not under throwing him. A guy like phillips can come back easy, but with Custis be 6'5", it ain't that easy. Custis can layout and make an overthrown ball a catch. If it's short, he is screwed. What do u think?

I agree and said the same thing to my wife during the game. Custis doesn't seem to be a go to the short pass kind of player.

Yup...though I haven't actually seen Custis do that yet. Some guys have a knack for winning balls, seemingly no matter where they are thrown. Some aren't quite as good at it. It is learned skill; Ishmael has come a long way in the past year. There is still time for Custis to step up too.
