The number of NCAA eligibility issues goes far beyond UConn. Off quick Google search: 1) UK -Enes Kanter 2) WVU - Dennis K (the Turk) 3) Providence - PG this year (forget his name) Kiwi Gardner? 4) ASU - Jahii Carson 5) Kansas Ben McLemore, Jamari Traylor and Braedan Anderson 6) St Johns - Amir Garrett, JaKarr Sampson and Norvel Pelle 7) OSU - LaQuinton Ross 8) Seton Hall - Kevin Johnson 9) Towson - Kelvin Amayo 10) Misssissippi State University - Kristers Zeidaks 11) UL - Kevin Ware 12) Yale - Jack Langer etc. Now most of those were academic eligibility issues which the schools should have known about. Boatright's issue (if it truly predates UConn) isn't something UConn should have known about. As for penalties announced since 2009 (when the UConn story broke): 1) UT -Pearl BBQ 2) Oklahoma 3) Georgia Tech 4) Arizona 5) Miami (possible? Don't know where this one went) In fact, one of the reasons the UConn story got so much play was 1) it was announced while UConn was in the the Final Four and 2) it's sanctions were announced when UConn was in a championship year. If UConn was as "good" as the teams listed above it wouldn't be as big a story. The fact you know so much about it probably amounts to it being about UConn and a conference rival (currently at least). The Academic Progress Rate issue is another story and not recruiting involved nor really an eligibility issue.
