To that end...if there's money to be made then it seems bowl games will continue. For schools that means TV money. For TV it's a recognition that live sports is one of the few types of programming that still can generate a sizable audience. But will TV be willing to pay for 4th rate games without any stars? It would seem that schools will have to act to ensure having a decent team. That could mean signing their athletes to contracts in which they agree to play the entire season.
