[QUOTE="jordoo, post: 1307830, member: 569"] I think some of us need to take a very critical look at the roster this year and ask ourselves why we aren't a really good team when we have one of the best post players in the nation and one of the best multifaceted wing players in the nation. The next question would be if the team is so short handed why do some players play so little? These guys have had every opportunity to earn major league minutes this year if they could just not be a liability on the court and they have not been able to do so. They only play because there are no other options. I think its a bit unrealistic to expect the staff will want to spend another season giving them these same opportunities over new players who have yet to prove they cannot do it. Its possible they could drastically improve over the off season (but they are not freshman) and work their way into the rotation but IF THEY ARE BACK they will have a much shorter leash than last season and many fewer chances to earn the minutes than they did this season. These are the unfortunate facts of college basketball life sometimes. I think we all get excited about recruits and as SU fans its hard not to view them with the idea of their best possible upside but and outlier game here and there that is a very small minority of the actual results is not a true representation of said player. Its hard to let go, I get it but players roll through the program with a higher and higher rate of turnover and as we recruit at a consistently higher level guys that do not show actual production by the end of their sophomore seasons are usually not going to be big parts of the team going forward unless its as practice fodder.
