Cal already building his escape hatch?

He has to get out before the NCAA has time to nullify all his FF appearances.

Here's a photo of his likely escape vehicle ;)

Stories like this make JB's 36-year tenure here even more noteworhty. He lives and breathes SU basketball 24-7.
And the differences in compensation is ridiculous.

Exactly. He doesn't play on staying any place for a lot of years because he knows the inevitable recruiting violations will be there.

Would you be ticked as a UK fan or accept it and thank him for making UK relevant again?

Don't see anything wrong with this, maybe he just has a different perspective on things. None of what he said sounds unreasonable.

"It took me 20 years to get here, so I'm not like so quick to leave a place like this. Other guys have had these jobs for 15, 20 years. It took me 20 to get a job like this," Calipari said. "So, I'm not in a hurry to leave, but it's the same sense. When it's time, I think we'll all know."

Yup, about a month after an expose by Yahoo! Sports sounds about right.

This is a stupid thread. does someone have to stay at one job for 30 yrs? Sweet lord - UK sucked balls before Cal got there. now? not so much.

I'm not a Cal fan, but I have no problem with what he said in the article. He'll be around 60 after 10 yrs at UK. For some guys, that's long enough to coach. UK is a high pressure place to coach, the fans have little patience. It's not like he has jumped ship every couple years from one school to another. I wish he would leave sooner so all the top kids stopped going there.
